Glaitness Class 6 2014/15. Keep up to date with our goings on in P6! Friday, 15 May 2015. At last the day had arrived for us to set off on our Hoy Outdoor expedition! We assembled at Stromness pier all fired up and ready to go. The Golden Mariana was soon boarded and we were the only passengers on board. Glaitness Class 6/5 2011/2012. Tuesday, 12 June 2012. P6/5 are tour guiding for other schools at the Earl's and Bishop's Palaces. We do this in role as characters who lived in the past. Both p7 classes took a ferry ride to Lyness this week. Our mission was to explore and find out about Lyness and Orkney during the wars - World War II in particular. Wednesday, 16 June 2010. Eat, drink, cheep, sleep. Two chicks have been incubated and hatched in P7R. The noisy new arrivals might have some company soon. Friday, 23 April 2010. The story of Sedna. After Tom Muir had told us some traditional Orkney folk tales about the sea, he told us the ancient Inuit creation story of Sedna. We are going to make a felt picture based on the story with Christina Sargent. Today we found out about the felting process and experimented with making balls, rope and octopuses.
