The History of Glyntawe Outdoor Centre. The original single storey building was built in 1899 on a donated plot of land. It provided children of the local area with their first taste of education, opening on the 1st November 1899 as a primary school. It was closed as a school in the 1970s. Assistant Manager and Instructor. Chris is the new kid on the block, joining the team in 2017 as our new assistant manager and instructor. Chris is our resident long haired surfer. We run a range of courses suitable for Key Stage 2 Groups (7-11 years old). Young people at this age are beginning to find their feet and explore the outdoors.
