30 Ways to Raise the Risk. Intentionality: Focus Your Energy. February 4th, 2012 0 comments. For me this word promotes encouragement to set and obtain goals. Perhaps even more energizing is viewing lives lived with intentionality. Hungry for God: Hearing God’s Voice in the Ordinary and Everyday. By Margaret Feinberg, I encountered this phrase:. Don’t look where you don’t want to go. Where do I want to go? What are my thoughts and vision set upon? Do I need to shift my thinking in some areas? One student ...

CROSSeyed contemplations: October 2007

The random ramblings, musings, and ponderings of a jesus freak. Monday, October 15, 2007. Whether there will be a warm place to sleep come nightfall. The story of Job keeps coming to mind. He lost everything he owned and everyone he loved and still he didn't curse God. How did he do it? Where does faith like that come from? A faith so unshakeable. So firm. Would my own faith withstand such weathering? How do I surrender everything I own and everyone I love, holding them out to God with my arms wide open,...

CROSSeyed contemplations: July 2009
http://crosseyedcontemplations.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
The random ramblings, musings, and ponderings of a jesus freak. Friday, July 3, 2009. Yesterday our family was told that we would have 48 hours left with my grandpa. My mom held his hand as he lay frail, shriveled, and unresponsive in a bed at a North Carolina nursing home. But then in the dark, early hours of this morning, Grandpa went home to be with Jesus. Our family is now left with 48 hours to plan his memorial service. It was the most tender experience I have ever shared with my grandfather. My han...

CROSSeyed contemplations: from muddy to majestic

The random ramblings, musings, and ponderings of a jesus freak. Friday, May 16, 2008. From muddy to majestic. I said, "Oh, that I had the wings of a dove! I would fly away and be at rest - I would flee far away and stay in the desert; I would hurry to my place of shelter, far from the tempest and storm." Psalm 55:6-8. And so how is it that we are to endure in the midst of suffering? My devotional book reminded me today. Posted by Dan and Jill. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Let us fix our. Jesus, Th...

The random ramblings, musings, and ponderings of a jesus freak. Tuesday, October 7, 2008. The beginning or the end? Tonight was the last meeting of a church ministry that has been my home away from home for the last four years or so. It was a night of reminiscing, remembering, smiling and laughing, crying, hugging, thanking, and recognizing. It was our last meeting as a group, but was it the end of an era.or a new beginning? I finally visited Revolution. I felt uncomfortable, out of place, and isolat...

Saturday, September 29, 2012. And So It Begins. Oh my, I have been absent haven't I? Other than being sick as a D. O. G., I did have another tiny distraction. Sewing for cash. Presenting:. The name is Norwegian for "needles," useful tools and playthings for both my niece and me. Here was my little stash to sell: mini wallets, bookmarks, sandwich wrappers and a few drawstring backpacks. Our humble booth and Nicole looking lovely behind it. But first I CLEAN MY HOUSE! Friday, September 14, 2012. The neighb...
