Good Food on Bad Plates. Our journey of culinary exploits. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. What We’ve Made. Where We’ve ‘Been’. We are two youngish foodies on a quest to cook our way around the world: not literally travelling from country to country, unfortunately, but bringing each nation to our kitchen with a traditional recipe. The results of this challenge can be found on our blog. Bon appetit! Pancake Day the Finnish way (sort of): Hernekeitto and pannukkau. March 5, 2017. Findin...

Tasting Cognac in Cognac, France – Jessie Emma
https://jessieemma.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/tasting-cognac-in-cognac-france
A British Lifestyle Blog. Tasting Cognac in Cognac, France. September 28, 2015. September 28, 2015. For my final France blogpost we’ll be drinking Cognac in Cognac! As is mandatory if you’re ever in the Cognac region, we visited one of the many brandy producers. This time we did a tour of Rémy Martin, a family business stretching back almost three centuries to 1724. Actually, I did manage to capture a sneaky picture of one of the warehouses (but don’t tell anyone! Then I popped open a bottle of Prosecco&...

February 8, 2015. So my idea for flavours came from just googling the overnight oats recipes. There was always a berry one and some sort or mango/pineapple flavour but I have never came across a recipe that would make a green one. Green is my favourite colour so I really wanted to make it happen. 3 small pots of T...

Wherever you go, go with all your heart! Hamburger Happy in Hamburg. High on Amsterdam →. Happily Ever After Copenhagen. May 29, 2014. In Copenhagen, I ate herring. They catch it fresh from the sea every day and it is a staple dish on just about every menu. I’m not a huge herring fan, but the way they prepared it was delicious! Those Copenhagen folk sure do know their herring. Being a canal city situated close to the sea, the seafood was amazing! We stayed at a Design Hotel. Called Skt. Petri. We drank a...

Good Food NY
Thursday, July 24, 2014. Cool as a Cucumber. It's been pretty hot the past few days in New York City and I've been pausing longer in front of the fridge to catch some coolness. Truthfully the contents of the refrigerator were getting out of control from two shoots I did back to back last week and that was also making me pause. It's smooth and creamy without being too creamy in consistency and I loved every cool bite of it. EASY AVOCADO AND CUCUMBER SOUP. 4 large peeled Cucumbers. Juice from 2 lemons.
