Friday, June 14, 2013. What is in your Bag? What is in your Bag? As the title of my Blog suggests I am kind of the out of place runner. I do not carry all the cool gear with me when I go to a race. I am usually bare bones when it comes to race day. I train with just a Hammer Nutrition Bottle in my hand. That is on most days. If I am going less than 10 miles I might just have me. That being said what I bring with me to a race is most likely what you have in your bags. On (always with me).

Tuesday, December 10, 2013. 2013 I laced up for only the second time to run a race in New Jersey. Yes it may sound strange. I was born and raised in Jersey City. I left when I was 22 and was nowhere near a runner at that time. The other thing keeping me from racing was the lack of popularity of the local race at the time. This race is named for:. Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Journeys take you where you let them. When I first got hooked on endurance events I did not know where I was headed. I thought the 5K was a daunting task (even though I had been doing that distance and more forever). When you are new to the actual sport of running and hear 5K, you tend to over think what 5000 meters could be. Once that distance is conquered you want more. Some jump straight to the half-marathon (my favorite distance), while others take the natural step to 10K.

Sunday, August 18, 2013. What drives you to sign up for a Race? Well after a little over a month of listening to fellow runners and weekend warriors I can finish this post. I know as I get to looking at the calendar for running I have to put an overlay on it to match my work schedule. My work schedule and the fitness training there most times compliments my running training however, there are times where the Army has me doing crazy things the week of my big events. Sunday, May 25, 2014. After a couple months away due to an extremely busy time at work I am back. I started training for what will be a pretty busy fall for me. I will start with a late summer Triathlon in Asbury Park NJ. The TriRock event on August 24. I have gotten into the Marine Corps Marathon and the Army 10 Miler both in October. Saturday, January 10, 2015. As 2015 has entered our lives, plans are in full swing for an active year. I have noticed that the "season" never really ends in the endurance world. This makes sense since as an endurance athlete you must be able to endure long hours of logging miles. The Country Music Marathon, Nashville, TN. My first 70.3 Ironman Chattanooga.
