Monday, October 31, 2011. Final game, end of the season. Well our season ended with a loss to Saukville, 19-0. But our guys played with great effort.we were missing a large group of players and a lot of guys had to play positions that they have not played in a game before. We also tried some new things for fun.some trick plays, and some plays that we made up during timeouts to try. Some were successful, some weren't. But it was fun to give it a shot. Saturday, October 15, 2011. A very satisfying effort today leads to the first victory of the season, a 14-12 victory over Nicolet in a very exciting game for the second week in a row. Glad we ended up on top in this one. But I think what I liked most about this game was the way we closed the deal. 4th and 4, just a minute or two to go, and we were able to get Nicolet to jump offsides with a hard count to pick up the clinching first down. Friday, October 14, 2011. A rainy pregame practice last night ended up with a victory for the linemen in the "linemen challenge." Always fun to end our pregame practice with a little competition. PS It's starting to get pretty dark pretty early.I would recommend parents start arriving to practice at 6:30pm or earlier to pick up your child, as practice will be ending earlier and earlier. Tuesday, August 30, 2011. Tonight's practice was a defensive practice, and some players got moved around to different positions. Fortunately they generally had a good attitude towards the changes, and I think the changes will be for the good of both those players and the team as a whole. A reminder that we will NOT be practicing tomorrow. Our next practice will be Thursday, September 1st. Monday, August 29, 2011. Saturday, August 27, 2011. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Nice finish to a great season. Very proud of the effort today as 6th grade Orange defeated Germantown Blue 19-13 to finish the season. For the season, I simply can't say enough about this group of kids. We started the season 1-3, and finished the season 3-1 with the only loss during that period being a one-point loss to a very good Lake Country program. Well, it was not how we wanted to start a football game off this past Saturday, when we fumbled on our second offensive snap and consequently. Gave up a quick touchdown.
