My Life Under the Kenyan Stars: June 2012
http://andreaflynnschneider.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
My Life Under the Kenyan Stars. Saturday, June 23, 2012. Dad's Trip to Kenya. I headed to the airport to pick up my dad on June 2. And was met with a warm embrace. I couldn’t help but shed a tear after not seeing my dad for over a year (the longest we’ve ever been apart). After a catching up over a few beers, we got to bed early to get some rest for our upcoming journey. It was off to Tanzania the next day to climb Kilimanjaro! 8221; I told you so! My dads trip went too quick and he flew out on the 20.

Emily in burkina faso. My adventures in the peace corps. I started a girls club! I decided to start a girls health club with girls from the primary school in my village. I asked the school director to pick the 10 girls with the best french. I told the girls that each week we would talk about a different health topic. I also want to teach them life skills, emphasize continuing in school, and talk about girls' empowerment. The girls in my girls health club. 8 Mars in Forgui. As you may remember from last y...

emily in burkina faso: Saying goodbye
http://emilyinburkina.blogspot.com/2012/11/saying-goodbye.html
Emily in burkina faso. My adventures in the peace corps. Saying bye was a lot harder than I had thought. If you had told me two years ago that I would be this sad to leave village, I wouldn't have believed you. It's amazing to think of the progress I've made during my service here. I don't mean to be negative, but now that I'm done I can look back and realize just how difficult it was for me here because - I've actually adjusted! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://andreaflynnschneider.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
My Life Under the Kenyan Stars. Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Ethiopia was a world full of amazing food, dancing and especially people. As my 14. African country to visit, I can honestly say, I think it was one of my favorites if not my favorite. I’ll first start by giving an overview of all the amazing activities we did and the places we saw. We flew into Addis Ababa. Our next city was Lalibela. The last city, but not least, that we visited was Gondor. We had an instant bond! Ok so I have to dedicate a sec...

My Life Under the Kenyan Stars: Tipping Towards Thirty
http://andreaflynnschneider.blogspot.com/2013/01/tipping-towards-thirty.html
My Life Under the Kenyan Stars. Tuesday, January 29, 2013. The next week my wonderful brother in law Chris was here promoting a new phone for Intel. My friend Hannah and I met up with him and even though he was only here for a short while, it felt so good to see family. He was so gracious and let us use his nice shower (a luxury for village girls), he treated us to amazing food and drinks. Overall we had a blast! I can’t announce on this public blog when exactly I will be back in America, but just ...

My Life Under the Kenyan Stars. Thursday, March 21, 2013. March 19, 2013 4:44pm. Update: We ended up having to refer Chepkurui to a hospital where she got a c-section. She named the baby Chepkosgei, after me. I was so happy to have been a part of that and to have helped her at least a little. I can’t wait to go visit the newborn as soon as she can go home. I bought my ticket to Ethiopia! I’ll be going April 2. With two of my girlfriends. I’m so excited! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Wildcat in Li...
