Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Said “what” after physical therapist continuously repeated her name. Primary nurse reported hearing her say “yes” and “no”. Moans when in pain. Closes her eyes when someone is looking at her. Impaired communication r/t cognitive impairment. Ms CR had dementia and a history of CVA. Everybody has it, what’s the big deal? Diabetes is a very common disease that can ruin lives. It can leave people blind, unable to walk, it can cause kidney failure, heart disease and many more problems. Diabetes can kill, and it does kill.
