Why I have a heart for Belize. Annette Baughman, Founder. God had developed in me a passion for the children of Northern Belize, so in 2008 I founded Hearts for Belize. Hearts for Belize was established to provide educational opportunities to extremely needy children in the Northern part of Belize. Thanks to everyone who attended our Valentine’s Dance in Pittsburgh, PA. It was a wonderful evening, in spite of the snow storm, and brought in proceeds of $1200 for our Belizean students. CAN you help us? We are collecting aluminum cans for recycling and the profits have continued to add up! Two good causes (education and the environment) in one effort! Student Highlight we hope to share a student’s personal story with you each month. Meet our first student, Rodel Chan.
