Der AirRobot besteht im Wesentlichen aus drei Komponenten:. Dem GPS-gesteuerten, elektronischen Fluggerät. An dem die Kamerasysteme befestigt werden. Mit der Fernsteuerung, dem GPS-Empfänger, einer Videobrille und einem Laptop mit eigener Software, auf dem die Aufnahmen kontrolliert werden können bzw. auf den die Videoaufzeichnungen per Funk übertragen werden.
