Saturday, July 24, 2010. I even think the medicine might be helping a little. After our return we made lunch of chicken noodle soup then relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. For dinner, one of the med students and I went to a restaurant called Paprika. The food was excellent and we had a fun time just sitting and talking for awhile. Saturday, July 31, 2010. Api y Cunape, mmm! This is the amazing breakfast I woke up to this morning, courtesy of sweet Juana. She made cheese empanadas with powdered sugar, which were amazing, combined with Api Peach cider. The cider is a traditional drink they have here for breakfast or afternoon dinner. It's thick, warm, and full of dried fruit, mmm! After we left the house, we went to La Cancha to buy some food for the week. It was packed with people! Friday, July 30, 2010. Thursday, July 22, 2010. That I just went straight to bed. Then in the midst of our play, she grabbed my arm, took one of her blocks, and pretended to draw blood from my vein - she did remember! We played this game for awhile, with me crying when she did it and her "bandaging" it back up. It was pretty tiring trying to keep her occupied and in her bed. Sunday, July 25, 2010. Hola, I'm sitting here on the couch in my brand new Wilstermann soccer jersey. Wilstermann is one of the two futbol teams here in Cochabamba. This afternoon, the two med students and I attended one of their games, and it was quite an experience! It's nice to be able to enjoy the food here again. So here's a bunch of pics from Owen's awesome, fireman themed birthday party(that was actually on September 3rd). It was a blast and I think all the kiddos had fun! A piñata with 3 year olds is fun and dangerous. This pic just shows how sweaty poor Owen was. It ended up being so hot and he played outside for soooo long! Our fireman in full costume.
