Where in the world is Holly? Tuesday, September 11, 2007. Maasai Tribe, Tanzania. This tribe is off of the beaten path and do not regularly receive gifts or tourist visitors. We were SWARMED! Joel and another tribal gentleman handed out the writing materials and candy to the children and forced them to line up. Pushing and shoving, the little ones didn't even stand a chance. The man sitting by the hut w/ a stick in his hand was the chief of the tribe. According to Shauna, he was a very nice gentleman.

Where in the world is Holly? Wednesday, September 5, 2007. Tatoga Tribe, Lake Eyasi, Tanzania. The houses are made of wood and cow dung. Dung helps to keep it cool, smells a little shitty but at least it's cool. :) Also, the houses seem to be quite solid, I was surprised actually. Where in the world is Holly? Monday, July 30, 2007. The weather cleared today for our flight out to Auckland. I am so glad we got stranded here. Queenstown is absolutely beautiful. The town surrounds the lake and the snowy peaks jet up against the skyline. Absolutely beautiful. Lots of cozy pubs and restaurants, with fireplaces and Speights beer on tap. Where in the world is Holly? Monday, September 3, 2007. Jambiani, West Coast, Zanzibar. These beaches are pristine! It's like walking on white flour. So soft. The water has so many different colors to it, it truly looks like paradise. The island is surrounded by shallow reef, so the waves break about 1/2 mile from the shoreline, so the water lapps up onto the sand. There are shells everywhere! I made it here all by myself!
