August 11, 2015. Myself and master 3 went for a walk today. We took the little beach path then joined the trail across bombi moor. August 3, 2015. First post…so it begins. I love bushwalking (hiking for you non Aussies) I am also overweight (there go my stats Lol) I’m also a busy mum with big dreams. What does all this mean? It means that even though I love walking and seeing all that nature has to offer sometimes I struggle. Sometimes I’m dragging myself up the mountain. August 6, 2015. Walking for the mind. I don’t think I can stress enough how rejuvenating walking in nature is and how much peace and energy it brings. You find a rhythm in your steps and you can free yourself of all your burdens. Walking away from the housework, worries, all the demands of our busy lives. You feast your eyes on so much beauty and refill your cup. Its so different from walking on concrete paths beside traffic noise and so necessary for many of us. And that reminds you of your own power.

August 6, 2015. Bouddi spur to Maitland bay (return). Today myself and master 3 took the trail from the dingeldei picnic area at bouddi national park (on the NSW central coast). Down to Maitland bay. Its a gorgeous walk through the Forrest down to Maitland bay. Its quite a descent and is quite a climb back up as you would imagine! But not to hard for those of moderate fitness. Coral fungi wearing ice jackets. Growing on the side of a tree. Liverworts abound. Fur blanketing one side of the track… we found the rest of the animal a bit later…. Panorama across the campsite. Cypress (Oyster Bay pine? On the Redgum loop. Yellow flowers (Twiggy guinea flower? Were opening everywhere by the track. Beautiful eucalypts against the blue sky.
