House of a Military Spouse. August 28, 2009 at 4:09 pm Posted in Uncategorized. It’s been a while since I posted last because I’ve been in Seattle! I got to spend one wonderful week in Seattle and Snohomish, Washington visiting my mom, sister and 5 nieces and nephews! I hadn’t seen them since my wedding day over a year ago and that is WAY TOO long! It was sunny and between 65 and 75 degrees the entire time which was absolutely gorgeous. Somehow, everytime I visit Seattle, I bring good weather with me!

House of a Military Spouse. I am…as the military calls it…a spouse! I am currently interning in the marketing department of a local hospital and I am learning something new everyday. I only work a few days a week and in my spare time I enjoy looking and trying out new recipes. I love to cook and bake. House of a Military Spouse. August 3, 2009 at 12:38 pm Posted in Uncategorized. I have recently discovered that my new favorite kitchen appliance is the vegetable steamer/rice cooker! I just love tossing in some fresh asparagus and 10 minutes later enjoying the perfectly steamed greens! Ryan DOES NOT eat vegetables, but I’ve slowly been working them into side dishes and he’s becoming a fan (of asparagus at least)! My next mission is to get him to enjoy steamed broccoli and cauliflower! 1 Comment ».

I have found my love. Wednesday, June 24, 2009. I always get really antsy around the time that Austin gets home. It's like I am by myself all day and then in the evening I get reminded that there's this other person I live with who is about to return so I switch out of "hermit" mode and get really excited! Yay for conversation and hanging out! I heard that USA beat Spain at soccer? That's about all I know, but since when was the US good at soccer? This is news to me. I guess we're pretty much awesome!
