Article très intéressante détaillant les resultats d'un rapport de la Banque Scotia qui indique que ce sera peu probable que les prix se mettent à chuter de façon grave et que la baisse des prix réels serait plutôt à cause d'une érosion inflationniste. Le mouvement à la hausse des prix des maisons qu'a connu le Canada ces dernières années ne devrait pas se renverser de façon significative, selon les économistes de la Banque Scotia.

Good news for variable rate mortgage holders: as we mentioned a few months ago in the midst of a general climate of further interest rate hikes, the leading indicators at the time had projected an eventual flattening of rates going into 2007. Bang on the mark, the Bank of Canada is now issuing guidance indicating no further changes to the rate in this quarter and for most of 2007. Bank of Canada holds the line on interest rates.
