Impressionist Transitions

Sunday, April 11, 2010. A sketch from a magazine article about a tragic event. no date but I will say it was 05. Sketch from a painting. This sketch wasn't labled so I'm guessing here. I remember this sketch as one I did from either a photo or a painting that my mom did. I think we were just trying to work out some tonal patterns. I'll update this if my memory comes back. Model with her hair pulled back. Saturday, April 10, 2010. I found an old sketch book stuffed in a drawer from 03. Young Jody in Clay.

Impressionist Transitions: Early 03 sketch of Our Lady of the Rocks

http://www.impressionistictransition.blogspot.com/2010/04/blog-post.html

Saturday, April 10, 2010. Early 03 sketch of Our Lady of the Rocks. To me Sketches like this are much easier than Plien Air painting. I can study a piece like this and feel every bit of the texture of the skin, the hair, the emotion. With Plein Air the experience is alot more immediate, somthing I'm not completely use to yet. The challenge is to work, work, work,. Until these sketches come from history into the present. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sketch from a painting. Young Jody in Clay.

Impressionist Transitions: March 2010

http://www.impressionistictransition.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Sometimes it's a good idea to copy the works of the masters to learn better composition, color, brush work etc. That's the case here. Sunday, March 28, 2010. This group of Eucalyptus trees caught my attention as I was going to meet a friend for lunch last week. I stopped and pulled out my paint box and did a quick study. Later in the studio I painted this 18X24. Friday, March 26, 2010. This rocky outcropping was caught at slack tide. was approaching, Laguna Beach California.

Peter Sterpe's Blog. Thoughts on technology, writing, skating and life. When art comes from people who aren’t “artists”. When art comes from people who aren’t “artists”. June 1, 2010. John Quarello, the brother of a good friend, has a blog on which he displays and discusses sketches, paintings, and sculptures he has created. I love his work, and I’m always amazed when people who are not professional artists and who don’t have formal art training can manage to create … art! Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

impressionistic...life | A topnotch WordPress.com site

A topnotch WordPress.com site. It’s a word we overuse, misuse, cling to, and claim to give up on, because it’s a word we do not fully grasp. Several years ago there was a movie called. Sometimes, our hopes are dashed to the ground, but we pick up the pieces, evolve them into a new mold, and persist again. It’s not deliberate nor is it a secondary reaction, but rather, it’s an instinctive reaction that our heart does for survival. Paul states it beautifully:. If our hope is only valued by the weight of th...
