Our live tank holding capacity is approximately 20 metric tonnes of live lobster. We use 2 x 15kW Flyte submersible pumps to pump water directly from the pristine waters of the Indian Ocean directly out the front of the factory. These pumps can achieve a water flow of 200 litres/second through the live holding tanks. Air conditioned aeration blowers provide invaluable cool air into the live tanks, to help settle and keep the lobsters happy.

Our lobster processing factory has a handling capacity of 500 to 1,000 metric tonnes of lobster per year. Our tank holding capacity is approximately 20 metric tonnes of live lobster. So we are well placed to fulfil regular large orders as well as for smaller buyers. To maintain water flow to this quantity of lobsters we have pumps drawing water from the sea with the capacity of pumping 200 litres/second. Indian Ocean Rock Lobster factory is well equipped for large orders.

One kilometre south of Cervantes is Lake Thetis, named after the sailing ship Thetis which surveyed the coast between 1847 and 1848. This tidal lake is three metres deep and with double the salinity of the ocean has enabled Stromatolites to form over many, many years and these ancient living organisms are visible from the water’s edge. A scenic walk along the track between the Thirsty Point Lookout and Hanson Bay Lookout before relaxing over a lobster lunch and a glass of wine. PERFECT!
