One of the historically richest parts of the country. Nice pictures and links in this post. Fall 07 in Japan. Wednesday, 14 November 2007. Shot on the way to a techno party at 6am somewhere on Maishima. Island, Osaka. Music in the background is from the party itself that was happening. Just beside the bridge. There was no special occasion for the party, apparently just a few friends getting together for a DJ. Session. They did obtain a permission from officials first, as we found out later, since the police arrived to check what was going on. Tuesday, 13 November 2007. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Indre kai, Vibrandsøy Haugesund. Bli med på kapproing. Dikt - Til kapproerne. DET ER VI SOM ARRANGERER KAPPROINGEN PÅ 17. MAI. Den aller første offisielle kapproingen på 17. mai ble arrangert i 1888. Ved siden av at selve konkurransen er underholdning både for publikum og deltakere, tar den også vare på minnet om kystlivet i Haugesund. Kapproing i Smedasundet er Haugesunds bys eldste tradisjon, - 125 år i 2013. Det blir liksom ikke noe skikkelig 17. mai hvis ikke kapproing er med på programmet.
