The End of an Era. Blackwater Lodge and Salmon Fishery closes it’s doors! Little did I realise when I closed the doors of the Lodge on October 1. This year that it would be for the very last time. At that stage I was already making plans for the 2016 season. Only recently did I discover that the melanoma I have been living with since late 2004 has once again appeared as two small tumours. Fredag 25 november 2011. Dagen gick hyfsat började med att åka till en put and take sjö som heter valkalampi som ligger utanför jädraås. Bottenmeta efter regnbåge där men de blåste för mycket! Söndag 30 oktober 2011. Idag var de fiske tävling som vi 2 var på. Var väl nånstans mellan 20-30st som var med men de var bara ynka 5 st. Som fick den svår flörtade havsöringen! Det kom upp totalt 7 öringar sammanlagt och största öringen. Fisket var väl inte det bästa men några stora tappades ändå. Ska nog sluta med fiske ja kanske frimärkssamling. 2 Lax hannar som slogs på gick så lääääänge. Christian med sin fisk som vägde 1.750kg som gav. Honom en 4:e plats! The upper river continues to fall. The clarity is excellent. At Killavullen the river is holding all day at 1.16m. Excellent fly height and clarity. The Ballyduff gauge is down to 0.27m by nightfall.
