Part VI Hiking Again! January 2, 2015. Half way through my Cardiac Rehab in August and I’m ready for a hike. My first hike is up Black Mt,. A local ski area, a short distance from home. As we drive up the steep winding road to the parking area, we pass bike rider after bike rider making the long arduous climb up to the summit who will then be rewarded with a screaming wild ride back down to the bottom. So many great outdoor adventures here, what fun! Part V Running Hills! Keep your eyes on the Prize?

Part V Running Hills! December 27, 2014. Running on flat terrain, never mind hills was my first dilemna. Runner’s World has a thread. On how beta blockers affect runners, although some runner’s are prescribed Beta Blockers for reasons other than heart problems, but the same running problems exist; you’re slower! At one point, I was trying to figure out if staying on Beta Blockers was a good idea but I found the info on impact of Beta Blocker usage. Anyone else out there gone through this?

Is Predimed the answer? January 9, 2015. While watching breakfast television recently, the health segment featured the Mediterranean diet. This caught my attention, a study called Predimed. This is my version of the mediterranean dinner. Sardines (in an elegant container) on top of pasta, along with olive oil, garlic, tomatoes and a significant amount of veggies. Red wine diluted with ice, although I prefer white and on the left my heart medication. Keep your eyes on the Prize? Almost Back on Track →.
