Beekeeping Report 2016:. January 2016: Very cold no bee report. February 2016: Still very cold, still no bee report. March 2016: Unwinterized beehive, sporadic activity, pollen seen on bees on march 21st. April 2016: Found Queen bee may need to be requeened, ordered 3lb package of bees, assembled nuc box for split this summer. May 2016: Installed 3lb package of honeybees (Video on YouTube), Inspection of hive #1 results are that a requeening is necessary (1st time requeening), come back for more updates!

Follow our Social Media pages below. Update - January, 2018. On January 11th, SE Michigan saw record high temperatures after nearly 3 weeks of sub-zero air temperatures. Which was a perfect day to check the bees and feed if necessary. There was no activity outside any of the hives and upon further inspection it is believed our honeybees starved. There was plenty of honey within inches of the cluster but the cold prevented them from being able to reach it. We have ordered our bees for 2018. White lake, MI.
