Saturday, January 23, 2010. Still in the present. Ok, it's still January 2010.and I'm still needing to talk about my daughter. She's in good hands. I know that. After her surgery, and subsequent recuperation in Ark City, her sisters loaded her up and took her back to KC with them, with her dogs. I know she really appreciated everything they did for her, and I did too! I felt so badly for her, and wanted to hug her.it made me feel bad. But I also knew that healing takes time. I guess I will wait and find ...

It was Pioneer Days at the Cherokee Strip Museum in Arkansas City. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. I would like to say that my depression is due to the fact that the sun hasn't shone around here for about three days or more, and it finally IS today! It is SO good to see the sun again. I didn't realize how important the sun is to me! It's also a good thing that I don't have to be at work at a certain time. Independent artist and sculptor. I make medium to large sized, stylised forms derived from botanical details. Many of these are cast as limited editions in reinforced cement for outdoor installation. Cement is a wonderfully durable material which resists frost and rain to become stronger with age. Eventually the surface is colonised by minute algae, lichens and mosses which add to the patina and blends the work into the surroundings.
