Miss Diagnosis: April 2008

Welcome to my site. This is the best way for me to keep in touch with friends and family about my battle with cancer. Monday, April 21, 2008. I will continue with hormonal treatment. Herceptin is for HER2 positive cancers and it is given through IV every 3 weeks. It does not have any side effects. I also take a daily pill, called Arimidex, to help block estrogen as my cancer was estrogen positive. This means that estrogen helps the cancer grow. It is partly why I had my ovaries removed. Welcome to my site. This is the best way for me to keep in touch with friends and family about my battle with cancer. Thursday, October 23, 2008. I'm keeping my boobs! I just met with my breast surgeon who explained to me that I do not have to have a double mastectomy at least not for awhile. With close monitoring, anything that comes up would be detected right away. Early detection.what a concept! FYI: My next PET scan is November 6th. The week afterward will suck. Be well. Happy Autumn!
