The Fin Finder II departs from Harbor Island Marina in Solomons, MD except for December fishing when we usually depart from Point Lookout Marina in Ridge, MD. For April and May PM Trophy Rockfish trips we will leave the dock at 1 PM. For evening rockfish and croaker trips in late May, June, and July we like to leave the dock at 3 or 4 PM.

Captain Lee Tippett grew up fishing the waters of the Patuxent river, first as recreation with his family and then commercially for oysters, crabs and fish. In his early teens, he moved to the Potomac River area where he continued his pursue his passion for working on the water aboard the crabbing boat “Betsy Lynn”.
