Sunday, November 23, 2014. We have been looking forward to this year's Thanksgiving parade. Last year, the parade day was bitter cold, and the winds were so strong that they could not fly the balloons. This year, we couldn't have asked for better weather. We got there early, got a good spot, and enjoyed another fabulous UBS Thanksgiving Parade! There were clowns, dancers, floats, marching bands, and balloons. Monday, May 25, 2015. The Memorial Day Parade in my town is one of my favorite events of the year (up there with Halloween). This year, for the first time, I joined my children and marched in the parade. I don't have as many photos as previous years, but many many memories of a special day. Monday, September 30, 2013. Behind each great pumpkin, is a great pumpkin grower. The giant squash weighed first, and weighed in at 685.5 pounds (grown by Box). Squash can not have any orange on them, and the judges check each one to make sure they truly are squash before weighing. Next up were the giant pumpkins. I will not reveal the weight of our first pumpkin because his grower very generously plans to donate it to charity (who will do a guess the weight contest). Sweet's giant weighed in at 554 even.

Tuesday, July 30, 2013. Visiting the pumpkin makes me excited for Autumn! I visited the pumpkin patch again this weekend. I love going there in July and August because you see such a big change from each visit. The pumpkin really looks like a pumpkin now, and it reminds me Autumn is coming (I love Autumn so that is a happy thought for me!
