Sunday, October 21, 2012. We left Wednesday Morning and went to the beach and played for a while. The kids had a blast! On Thursday we went to Disneyland! It was super packed but the kids had fun! We met Becky there and Liz and my mom came too. We took the kids on space mountain and they both started crying besides that they liked every ride we went on! We were able to go on lots of the rides. Thursday, November 17, 2011. I thought it would be fun to invite a few friends over and have a thanksgiving party! We made turkeys our of rice Krispy treats, made place mats and little stick puppets. I had a few more activities planned but the kids were done after the ones we did! I am so thankful I have such great friends and family around me! It was such a fun morning! That was so much fun! This has increased his interest in our cooking. He no longer screams at us while we are cooking. Instead he pulls up a chair to help. I decided it was time to let him help make waffles. Seeing that we make them every week, it surprised me that they weren't already up. I think these are the BEST waffles, even compared to the gluten ones that I can still order and eat when we are out. Saturday, October 13, 2012. This spring I was a tester for a gluten free recipe book. I'm even listed in the acknowledgments. One of the items I made was struffoli which involved deep frying marble sized dough balls that are then piled up with a honey glaze drizzled over all of them. Since I only did one test of the frying the oil was still "clean" and I stuck it in the freezer to make doughnuts some other time. I cooked them two ways. Baked in my mini doughnut maker.
