Could life get better? Sunday, October 30, 2011. Just a preview of the never boring times with Megan and Sue. More to come soon. It was such a change to what we had seen that it took our breathe away. Interior. It was difficult to find any rational pattern or geometry so all that we could do was stare. The light inside bounced off every faceted surface and made the interior almost seem delicate. One of the doors. Could life get better? Sunday, November 6, 2011. Our first dinner together. We had an amazing bottle, or rather bottles of Arrone wine in honor of Dave who we all wished could have joined us. I was so excited for my two mothers to finally be in Italy with me! Even though Megan periodically fell asleep in the middle of dinner, it was a great way to kick off their arrival! Could life get better? Monday, November 7, 2011. After the girls' first Eurostar train ride which included not knowing where to put Megan's big ass suitcase, not getting to sit together because I didn't know I could ask the lady at the ticket office to make that happen, and finally a sweet man helping us get all of our bags off the train, we arrived in Florence! The first place that we went was of course the Duomo. Night on the Ponte Vecchio. You can tell from the faces that they are making at eachother.
