They were off enjoying life on their sailboat in the Bahamas for the winter. Hey, it's a rough life but someone has to do it! We drove straight through from Chesapeake arriving home around 5:00 PM. Friday, May 20, 2011. Back in the water. We are once again back in the water. We launched Tues. May 17th. The weather did not cooperate. The worst launch day ever! Our friend Mike from, "The Missing Link", called yesterday to rub it in that they were docked at New Smyrna Beach, Fl. city marina. Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Getting ready to sail in Ohio. This is the construction site of the two new launch wells under construction at our marina at Sandusky harbor marina on the western end of Lake Erie. The harsh winter took it's toll which mandated a total renovation. Launch schedule is to start April 17th which is only a week later than normal. Friday, March 11, 2011. We have 5" of snow on the ground at 8:30 AM and it's still coming down. Another 4" to 6" predicted. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday, April 24, 2011. Rain, Rain, Rain. Easter has started out to be another rainy day in Ohio. It has rained constantly for several days now making it almost impossible to do the outside work needed to be done on our boat before we launch May 18th. Friday, May 20, 2011. Back in the water. We are once again back in the water. We launched Tues. May 17th. The weather did not cooperate. The worst launch day ever! Mon May 23 and we are leaving Fernandia Beach for Jejyl Island today.

We have had a couple of cool nights,in the 50`s but tonight is gorgeous with a blazing orange sunset.Mike hasn`t gone fishing here but helped a fisherman clean his catch and was rewarded with a nice strawberry grouper. The docks are not full,business is very slow in the islands.We got an excellent dockage rate that included electric,water and cable and they have clean showers ,pool and restaurant and bar. E left the Lake Worth Inlet on Thursday afternoon on the way to Great Sale Cay with two other boats, Lee Ann and Madeline. We had a good crossing, about 4 ft swells with a 12 second period on our stern quarter. It wasn't a great crossing, but it wasn't bad either.
