I am convinced that sharing life will gain greater importance as I go on. I turned 27 this year. We have a birthday tradition where we list our top 3 most memorable events of the year at a meal shared with family and friends. They aren’t necessarily the best events… but ones that will mark the last year of life. My top 3 of my 27th year:. My Pappaw passed away August 19, 2011.

I like it. 3 Laser Eye Surgery. 4 Tell my niece and nephew stories of their childhood. 5 Organize a family reunion. 7 Run a marathon. 8 Surf on a shortboard. (Progress, surfed a fish…). 10 Join a recreational sports league. 11 Watch a baby being born. 12 Learn to Kiteboard. (started 7.18.11). 13 Have some writing published. Swim in natural hot springs. Cook a meal for the homeless and hand deliver it. Go to Big Sur.
