In all honesty this tupperware lunch was actually quite nice – brown rice, roasted broccoli and cauliflower, chickpeas, and chicken breast. Just a little house. April 5, 2014. Pink sparkly cupcakes to be precise. The happiest, pinkest, disco-ball-esque cake creations imaginable. A colleague brought these into the office yesterday, for her birthday. There were huge! I couldn’t even finish mine before the sugar coma kicked in, but they were delicious. I’m fortunate enough to work in a lovely place, so not to take advantage of the lunchtime leg-stretching opportunities would be a crime. My lunch break is also a great time to notice details. Another lovely Tin Can Knits pattern – adorable and very practical trousered. Peanut Vest by Tin Can Knits – so hipster it hurts.

There are so many designs and it’s such a great way to learn crochet. The basic square is so easy once you get the hang of it. I can easily make one without using a pattern. Then you get the more adventurous and lacy squares. I like tapestry squares as you can incorporate any design into them. Here’s my cat. The pattern is here. And my beautiful butterfly square.
