It was raining and we had just heard some discouraging news. Elam was riding in the Ergo, snuggled closely to my chest, I kissed his forehead as the elevator descended downward. Tonight, while reading books before bed, we were talking with Ellery about her day. Our conversation went something like this:. Me: 'Where did you and daddy go this evening?
