Oh well. we fixed it all and were able to keep going. I get so excited when we have pediatric patients, as there are a lot more adults than children having surgery done on the Africa Mercy. Karin's Adventures on Mercy Ships. Tuesday, 14 June 2011. June 13 and 14. We have been working hard again this week. I am again in the world of general surgery (mainly consisting of hernias again haha). The staffing has been a bit better this week as we are down one surgeon and have more nurses to go around. although there has also been a bug going around and we have had 2 people sick both yesterday and today. Karin's Adventures on Mercy Ships. Sunday, 19 June 2011. June 17 and 18th. As we were driving up the mountain Lourens offered to drive us up to one of the highest points of the mountain to see the sunset. It was an amazing view, you can see for miles the city of Freetown. Lourens, proud of his parking job. about a foot away from a straight drop down the mountain. We had a great dinner at the Country Lodge and then took the regular streets to get back home. Saturday - Bunce Island. Where the men were kept.

I decided to sleep in a little bit more than normal and then get up and catch up on some emails! We have been very busy in Opthamology this week, helping 28-30 patients a day!
