Utah Desert Roads 18x24. After an adventure to Southern Utah in March I came home with lots of reference material and experiences to paint from. This painting was inspired by a beautiful morning drive and when we stopped to throw the ball for my canine friends I was taken by all the different colors of this desert area in the early stages of spring. A little bit about me. Ndash; Born and raised in New Mexico, in 1989 I moved to Elko, Nevada. I found the high desert quite pretty when I ventured away from the highway. It is here at the base of the Ruby Mountains that I realized how much I love to paint. 2014 August-October - Northeastern Nevada Museum, Group Exhibit. 2013 May-August - Northeastern Nevada Museum, Solo Exhibit. 2012 October - Duncan Littlecreek Gallery, Solo Exhibit. I've been waiting for those lazy summer days to come - you know those day's where all you have to do is read a couple of chapters in your book with your feet in the kiddie pool! Both of these paintings were done in preparation for a large painting that was commissioned this summer for a ranch owner in our area. I did 7 studies for them to choose from and now that the project is done I thought I would share the studies with you. Commissioned ranch study 2 7x16. I had a wonderful time working out at the ranch and in the studio on this commissioned.

Ranch Studies #3 and #4. Ranch Studies continued, I did 7 seven studies to present to the client and let her pick from.
