Growing Inside: Small Miracles
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2008/01/small-miracles.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Dahlia experienced her first ever snowfall today. in Jerusalem! It's incredibly beautiful and magical. We went out and played in it and threw snowballs. Then it began to rain hard so we came inside and warmed our fingers under hot water. Small wonders. We need those right now. Snow in Jerusalem : you're so lucky! I imagine the city is so beautiful. No snow at all in Paris. January 30, 2008 at 9:22 AM.

Growing Inside: Woah, Nelly!
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2009/11/woah-nelly.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Monday, November 16, 2009. I'm feeling a bit like the ball in Little Brick Out right now. Flying all over the board, trying to hit a target. Sometimes doing so, other times bouncing back to my paddle to try again, sometimes missing the paddle entirely and using up one of my three tries. Undaunted, because I can always hit the Play Again. Time to stop, reevaluate, and figure out where to go now. Perhaps it still has? Perhaps 6 months ...

Growing Inside: Confidence
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2009/11/confidence.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Sunday, November 29, 2009. On Friday I got on Skype with some of my oldest friends. Women who have known me for almost 30 years. Some whom I haven't seen in more than a decade. One - my Karina - who is my constant, and who calls me daily from California. Sometime before either of us was born, something big and powerful looked over all that was ahead for me in my life and said,. Karina and me, holding each other's babies, January 2004).

Growing Inside: Adagio for Strings
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2007/12/adagio-for-strings.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Tuesday, December 11, 2007. There is a piece by Barber called Adagio for Strings. It is a heart-wrenching, simply gorgeous piece of music. I heard it many times as a child, played on the record player by my mom. The music crackling with the noise only a record makes as it turns under the needle. I heard it along with Vivaldi, Verdi, the Pachelbel Canon, the Moonlight Sonata, Gymnopedi. Maybe it's a good reminder that within some of t...

Growing Inside: Tikva
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2008/01/tikva.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Friday, January 25, 2008. About a week ago, I had a dream that my baby was a girl, and that she wanted her name to be Tikva. In Hebrew, Tikva means Hope. I didn't know at the time what this dream meant, and I played around with how the name rolled off my tongue. 48 hours ago, three words came out of the ultrasound doctor's mouth which have completely changed our lives. There's a problem.". There are more people for us to talk to - a ...

Growing Inside: September 2009
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Monday, September 28, 2009. A Great and Noble Life. To share tonight as I jump peacefully into the year 5770 on the Jewish calendar. Sunday, September 20, 2009. I've been feeling a lot of conflicting emotions lately. Too many people read my blog, it makes me not want to write. What if I stop writing and people stop reading? I miss my friends, I feel very alone. I don't want to be around anyone, I just want to be by myself. Flashback&...

Growing Inside: A Breath of Fresh Air
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2008/08/breath-of-fresh-air.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Friday, August 8, 2008. A Breath of Fresh Air. Tikva breathed her last breaths on her own. Tikva breathed her last breaths with no help from machines. Tikva breathed her last breaths with nothing on her face, in her nose, in her mouth. Tikva breathed her last breaths outside - fresh cool moist San Francisco summer air. Tikva felt the wind and the mist of the fog on her face. Hand in hand with God. Enveloped in God's arms. With no jud...

Growing Inside: 471
http://growinginside.blogspot.com/2009/12/471.html
The Story of Tikva. and the Journey of My Second and Third Pregnancies. Monday, December 14, 2009. Let me see if I can explain. But it's gotten hard to be here. And I am beginning to doubt all my lovely ways of looking at the world and experiencing this messy business, because in the end it still hasn't gotten me pregnant, and I still miss my girl, and I still cry every day, and from what I've chosen to share here, I'm not so sure anyone really knows that. I look forward to your new blog (I hope you deci...
