During the summer conflict of 2006, 612 public schools were damaged, throughout Lebanon. Many of these schools have not been rebuilt, and many others unaffected by the war are in dire condition. As a result of the war and years of neglect and under investment, the schools in Lebanon are not suitable to provide high quality education to children. Priority needs include:.
