Kinship Services and Resources. The Kinship Caregiver Coalition provides the following free services to kinship caregivers in Montgomery County, Ohio:. Trained community workers who help link kinship caregivers to services in their community. Provide families with education, information, and resources. Assist families with referrals for: health care, legal services, housing, counseling and social services, child care and respite resources. Available to listen and work one-on-one with kinship families.

About the Kinship Caregiver Coalition (KCC). In 1996, community partners contacted the Center for Healthy Communities (CHC) and suggested that the needs of grandparents raising grandchildren be explored. One partnering agency had observed a significant increase in the number of grandparents seeking services at their organization who were primary caretakers of their grandchildren. Kinship Caregivers learn internet safety and staying healthy while caring for their grandchildren. The KCC meets every other m...

Trotwood Grandparent Support Group. Misty Boston (937) 775-8247. All meetings are 10 am–12:00 pm. Trotwood Branch Library ,. 651 E Main Street. The Kids Klub provides education for children ages 13–17 who are being raised by a relative. The goal of the Kinship Klub is to provide an environment where kids feel safe to discuss some of their challenges. Emi Tiley (937) 775-8250. All meetings are 11 am–1 pm on Saturdays. Lunch-n-Learn is a two-hour bimonthly educational workshop for kinship caregivers.
