A rambling soliloquy about travel, music and knitting. Skip to primary content. Juniorhotel Krakonos, Marianske Lazne. April 10, 2014. In 1997, after 2 years of living in The Netherlands, my parents came for a summer trip to Europe. We met up in Vienna and spent two weeks driving through the Czech Republic and Hungary. Although the Berlin Wall had fallen 8 years earlier, the remnants of Communism were still rampant and it wasn’t a particularly easy vacation. This entry was posted in family. U0432u044b u0...

Swedish Hasbeens Review - Sage & Simple
http://www.sageandsimple.com/2015/08/swedish-hasbeens-review
Food travel. expat living. August 6, 2015. So, after I quit my job, the next logical thing to do was of course to order a pair of overpriced handmade Swedish clogs! Look fabulous with their wooden platforms, 10 centimeter heels, delicious colors, and a solid retro vibe that’s so hard to find in modern shoes. They’re everything I covet in an everyday shoe…. Fredrica Pearl Combo – swedishhasbeens.com. And how can you not love a brand called ‘Hasbeens’ whose story. Them and sent Robert a note declaring my u...

Jane's Probably Knitting: A box of delights
http://janesprobablyknitting.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-box-of-delights.html
A lifelong knitter and spinner's fibre adventures. Things don't always go as planned. Sunday, 10 May 2015. A box of delights. You might have thought that by my age I would have grown out of the excitement that follows the delivery of a parcel but some parcels reward my undignified glee. Underneath the cool and rather sophisticated exterior something was hiding. And here it is - four beautiful samples of yarn from a company that is new to me, Yarn Stories. Overall I was pleased with this yarn. I can't...

Odds and ends: My first...
http://runningaroundwithscissors.blogspot.com/2009/01/my-first.html
Thursday, January 15, 2009. I just registered myself to the first handicraft course in my life, mainly to use up these. To widen my view on crafts, to create interest for myself in crocheting and figure out whether freeform crocheting-knitting could be part of my future hobby-life. In the beginning of February, there is going to be Prudence Mapstone's. On 5th of Febryuary I'm crocheting! Good luck with the crochet! I've met Prudence before, and I think she's really talented and inspiring. Have fun!

Ginger Lucy: August 2008
http://gingerlucy.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Knitting, baking, larking about in the city and all sorts of other antics. Sunday, 31 August 2008. Dear god, I'm a sorry excuse for a blogger, aren't I? Somehow the summer hasn't been conducive to blogging Chez. Ginger - a combination of weddings (planning for my own and going to others), parties (again, both at home and elsewhere), a funeral (of which more later), serious amounts of exercise (well, serious for me, but it is working! The first pair to be finished were some that were on the needles for so...

http://runningaroundwithscissors.blogspot.com/2008/11/long-time-no-posts.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Long time, no posts. Wow, I can't believe it, it's been four months! And sadly to say I haven't knit much or done much anything else. We finished our vacation and were back in Singapore in the middle of August. I managed to get to one knit out and had great time at Lois' wedding (Congratulations, girl! On the more knitty note, I have started something and surprise-surprise finished something. First of all I started Cobweb Lace Stole. Needles: 2mm 5 dpns. We sure miss ya! Welco...

Stealth Liberty of London? – A Dress A Day
https://dressaday.com/2015/04/10/stealth-liberty-of-london
The Secret Lives of Dresses. A Dress A Day. A dress, nearly every day. Stealth Liberty of London? April 10, 2015. I feel like this fabric (at Mood. Is a Liberty print, but I can’t find verification of it:. Looks Libertyesque, too. Why isn’t there a Liberty fabric wiki where you can search for prints by name, year, color, type, key words, etc? I’ll be an advisor.). Speaking of projects, followers of this here blog might be interested to read this. In the New York Times today. April 10, 2015 at 1:49 pm.

Jane's Probably Knitting: Hold on to your hat!
http://janesprobablyknitting.blogspot.com/2015/01/hold-on-to-your-hat.html
A lifelong knitter and spinner's fibre adventures. Things don't always go as planned. Saturday, 10 January 2015. Hold on to your hat! I'm sitting here at my desk, writing, looking out at a bright and blustery Saturday afternoon thinking about my fellow knitters experiencing the gale force winds in Scotland and hoping that they have all found a cosy place to knit and ride out the storm. You will have seen this hat before - it's the Atherfield Hat. The green hat is made in Olive and the red one is Cranberry.
