The Soaring Sheep: Keep Calm Craft On
http://thesoaringsheep.blogspot.com/2015/07/keep-calm-craft-on.html
Tuesday, 28 July 2015. Keep Calm Craft On. As far as crafting goes I've not really achieved very much but I thought I'd share it with you anyway. I've finished the body of Mr Soaring Sheep's sweater and it's now awaiting sleeves and a shawl collar. I'm ignoring it for a bit because keeping track of shaping is a bit beyond my brain right now. I've finished the bottom off with some k2p2 ribbing. I did take a photo but it's come out so dark you can't really see much. Not sure when I'll be back. I'd like...

One Grey Elephant: Yarn Along...
http://onegreyelephant.blogspot.com/2015/06/yarn-along_24.html
Wednesday, 24 June 2015. Leo's rainbow blanket is done and keeping him warm on his bed at night! My Granny Mandala blanket is finished too! I used a 6mm hook with this chunky wool, that was horrible to knit with but I didn't want to waste! It came together really quick and it's now one of my favourite blankets. And then I am not making another crochet or knitted blanket for many years! Joining in with Ginny at gsheller.com. 24 June 2015 at 22:57. So gorgeous and bright! Love, love the rainbow. Thankyou f...

Knitting adventures: Monster Sweater
http://samtheknitter.blogspot.com/2015/04/monster-sweater.html
Sunday, 26 April 2015. It's been another quiet week here on my blog, we've had more visitors and Angus has also been poorly which has made for a very tired me! This sweater has been a long time coming, I checked my knitting notebook and I started it last July! Having said that I want so pleased yesterday when it was finally finished and because it's challenged me so much I feel I've added lots of new skills to my knitting. 2 Using a circular instead of dpns. 3 Picking up stitches correctly. Aw, what a be...

Lorrie knits and sews: Recycle Success Grey Sweater Version
http://lorrieknitsandsews.blogspot.com/2015/03/recycle-success-grey-sweater-version.html
Lorrie knits and sews. Knitting, sewing, and photography keep me sane. Thursday, March 5, 2015. Recycle Success Grey Sweater Version. Over a year ago, I sat down in front of the Olympics and took a part a sweater. Ravelry called the event "Aerial Unwind" in their version of the Olympics. I had loved the sweater when I was a bigger person. I loved the yarn, so soft and squishy. It was my TKGA Masters program challenge, which means I designed it. I had the pattern in my computer. As with many people, I'm t...

The Soaring Sheep: Missing Mojo
http://thesoaringsheep.blogspot.com/2015/07/missing-mojo.html
Tuesday, 7 July 2015. The last few weeks of busy-ness has really caught up with me. I'm so tired right now my head is spinning. Not much fun. Even blogging has felt like too much effort, and it's not like I've had anything new to show you. The other day I decided to wind up some more sock yarn for some plain vanilla socks as that seems to be all my brain can cope with right now, and even then just for short bursts. Both of these are from Mothy and the Squid on etsy. If you want to read more crafty posts.

A Bit About Me. Quilting up a new home – Turning Twenty – A New Bed Quilt. May 8, 2015. It’s spring, I’ve a new nest to feather. It’s time for a new bed quilt. Back in 2008 I made a queen sized bed quilt. From a riot of mostly Kaffe Fassett fabrics using the classic and trusty Turning Twenty pattern. You know it’s a little odd peeking at vintage blog posts I wrote 7 years ago. Have I really been doing this for that log? Caught my eye for it’s Southwestey kitsch and Moonlit. Ii tried to piece the backing ...

A Bit About Me. June 20, 2015. It’s been gifted and the recipient loves it. Now I can share. I’d long planned on making this friend a quilt. After auditioning many combinations, I settled on a grouping of reds, gold, rust, blue and purple batiks. The pattern I chose was Limelight by Villa Rose Designs. Back in MN, quilted it for me on longarm machine. Here it hangs on the trusty backyard fence. That’s the only spot I have for photographing quilts. Villa Rose quilt designs. June 20, 2015 at 6:45 am. A Bit About Me. August 8, 2016. Rialto Beach – Knitting, Napping, Beach-combing. In early July my friend Olivia arrived for a music festival. We took a trip out to the west coast to camp and explore Rialto Beach. I hadn’t been in ages. Pretty crispy, I was ready for a trip. The agenda was simple-with R&R the main goal-involving beach combing, knitting and napping. Our first evening there involved naps and knitting. Ever nap on the beach? Finished the next day:. The Hole in the Wall formation is about a m...

A Bit About Me. Welcome to the Backyard-Flowers and Veggies. August 6, 2015. Hey folks. I’ve been really sick this week. Today, however, I’ve enough oomph to finish this draft I started THREE weeks ago. I’d like to get caught up. I have some beautiful pics to share from a trip one year ago, some knitting and sewing projects to share, and much more. With rest, I hope to publish some more posts this weekend. A few weeks ago I gave you a tour of the front yard’s gardening. They are becoming a raised pathway.

Welcome to My Garden-The Front yard | The Knitting Nurse
https://hfrank007.wordpress.com/2015/07/15/welcome-to-my-garden-the-front-yard
A Bit About Me. Welcome to My Garden-The Front yard. July 15, 2015. Last summer I posted gardening pics, at my rental home, sharing the process from fledgling to full grown. This year, I’ve been so busy (sigh…) I missed out on sharing the fledgling pics. Anyone have any experience with this? I’m thinking beyond the rain barrel and about digging in tanks for rain water and maybe even grey water. After countless wheelbarrows of moved soil (sand-capped clay, quite useless to plant in) the amendment began...
