Roadblocks | Koinonia College Ministry
https://koinoniacm.wordpress.com/2014/05/01/roadblocks
May 1, 2014. Have you ever felt called by God to do something, but constantly found yourself facing opposition? We often think setbacks mean we didn’t hear God clearly. But the reality is. Stumbling blocks aren’t a possibility; they are a guarantee. David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God. He didn’t give up, but called out to God. By Kipling A. Chappell. Click to...
Out of Focus | Koinonia College Ministry

April 24, 2014. When I set out to write this blog, I had a few ideas in mind with no real direction. Any guesses on what happened? If you guessed nothing you’d probably be right. I wasted way too long spinning my wheels and writing things that got halfway finished, lost their way, and ultimately failed. Why? I had no focus. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,. As Christians, our goal needs to be Christlikeness. If we are going to attain o...

3 Ways to Waste an Opportunityand How to Make those Moments Count. May 21, 2014. I feel a lot of these situations apply just as much in my everyday life, moments where the conversation has two paths, one negative, one positive. Here are three common situations that are very tempting to take the negative, and how to make them positive:. 1 Arguing over theological differences…in front of non-Christians. 2 Judge others when they open up. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

The Power of Community. May 30, 2014. A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. As Christians we share common attitudes, interests, and goals with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Let’s look at three passages of scripture that express the power within community. The first expression of power of community comes in the form of encouragement. As we see in Hebrews 10:24-25 ,. Encouragement is critical. This life is anything but easy. This pa...

THE RESURRECTION MEANS EVERYTHING. April 19, 2014. What’s most important to you? Is it getting a college degree? A good paying job? Leaving an inheritance to your children? Having a lot of friends? While these things may be important to you, as a Christian, there is NOTHING. More important in life than the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Christ’s resurrection means everything for several reasons. First, it demonstrates the immense power of God. V 20), assuring that we will follow Him in resurrection. The r...

Ponto de encontro virtual dos Ribeiros (e agregados…). Vencer a discussão ou entrar em acordo? É preciso definir bem os objetivos para que se consiga uma comunicação eficaz no relacionamento familiar. The Power of Community. 3 Ways to Waste an Opportunityand How to Make those Moments Count. THE RESURRECTION MEANS EVERYTHING. August 1, 2014. So youth camp was this week and the theme was Mosaic. On Thursday we talked about restoration. I love this topic because we are all broken and we need to be restored. We all have fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) and as a result we all need to be restored. A famous restoration story from the Gospels is when Jesus restores Peter. Sometimes after a great...

Koinonia Community
Dreaming of fellowship, communion, communication, and sharing through every day living. Monday, May 27, 2013. I look back and see all the times I used the word ‘I’ or ‘me’. Yup, it’s all about me! It’s almost comical how when I get overwhelmed, the first thing I remove from my ‘list’ (oh, you better believe I’m a list maker) is my own wants and desires. I think that I’m helping others by completing all the necessary tasks. But at what price? What do you want from me? What do they miss most about from me?
