Things to remember…. Well, today’s the day scheduled for Baby #3 to arrive. I’m writing this in advance and scheduling the post.). So I plan to take a little, or maybe a big, hiatus from blogging to focus on this little one and adjusting us all to the newness she will bring to our home. Thanking God for this soul He has created and praying we lean hard on Him as we care for her and train her up over the years, Lord willing. We covet your prayers as well! For many women, pregnancies and deliveries happen ...

Rock, Paper, Scissors and Glue. Tuesday, September 4, 2012. So I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, it! Just like I thought I would! I LOVE BEING A HOME SCHOOL MOMMY! Okay so I know it's only the first day. And I know that there are going to be days that I won't love it as much (if at all.). But today was a GOOD day. It began with morning snuggles. at 8am! And then I capped it off with some "learning in action" shots. Sigh* from one contented Momma. AKA "Teacher". Have I mentioned that I LOVE that? Especially...

Rock, Paper, Scissors and Glue: October 2012

Rock, Paper, Scissors and Glue. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Living In The Future. Away at the local scrapbook store. During our scrapbook stay-cation day, we had dinner out at a local Asian diner called Pei Wei. Have you ever been? And they provide gluten free options for my girl, Linds! While waiting for our food we were walking to the soda machine and noticed it was different from the last time we scrapped and dined on Asian cuisine. Different as in. Right at our fingertips! Labels: Paper and Glue.

Rock, Paper, Scissors and Glue: November 2012
http://rockpaperscissorsglue.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Rock, Paper, Scissors and Glue. Thursday, November 1, 2012. Easy Sausage and Tortellini Soup. This is one of those "almost" homemade recipes. It was emailed to me a couple of years ago (I printed it on January 6, 2010. apparently I like to collect new recipes more than actually try them) when I signed up to receive a recipe-a-day via email. It's from BetterRecipes.com. 5 links sweet Italian sausage. 1 can (10.5 oz) condense French Onion Soup. 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, Italian style. I knew better t...

Things to remember…. 8220;Why do we all struggle with envy? Because self-righteousness tends to makes us feel more entitled than blessed, so we are more demanding than grateful.”. 8211; Paul Tripp (5/26/12). Posted by Lindsay posted under Biblical Counseling. Things to remember…. This clip is dedicated to Linds because of all she does as a Mom! Here’s a clip that made me laugh out loud. Enjoy! We will be parents again, Lord willing, come Monday when Linds has her scheduled C-Section. I saw this video recently and I’m posting it as a good reminder to myself that I’m always setting an example. I’m ALWAYS a Dad. Enjoy! I enjoyed the humor/truth in this one this week. Enjoy! For all my friends of both sexes who could desperately use this. Enjoy!

Things to remember…. 8220; He who loves money will not be satisfied with money. Nor he who loves wealth with his income. 8221; (Ecclesiastes 5:10). Money will not satisfy and pursuit of “more stuff” derails your pursuit of Christ (1 Tim. 6:10). So what is real gain? How about “godliness with contentment” (1 Tim. 6:6)? Once again it’s about looking beyond the temporal (1 Tim. 6:7) toward what counts for eternity (1 Tim. 6:12). Posted by Lindsay posted under Stewardship. Email will not be published.

Things to remember…. Extreme Makeover: Chair Edition. Thanks to my hardworking dad, visionary mom and the generosity of both, our kitchen chairs got a major makeover while they were in town! Disassembled, spray painted, new fabric stapled on (and scotch-guarded! Quite the project, quite the improvement! That’s the “before” chair on the right and “after” on the left. Feeling dyslexic that day I guess. Posted by Lindsay posted under Creative Outlet. Subscribe to The Filing Cabinet by Email.

Rock, Paper, Scissors and Glue: March 2012
http://rockpaperscissorsglue.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Rock, Paper, Scissors and Glue. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Modge Podge - 101. So what do you with old artwork that is so. It's begging to be retired? When it's Christmas, you cover it in wrapping paper and ribbon and hang it back up on the wall. But when February rolls around and the wrapping paper 'artwork' begins to mock you, it's time for a craft project: adult style! This isn't your elementary school Modge Podge lesson - but it IS just as simple. I promise! But not to the point of weighing your paper...
