Candace in Athens: Circle 'Round
http://candaceinathens.blogspot.com/2010/01/circle-round.html
The Sketchbook Project Blog for some more EyeCandy! Friday, January 8, 2010. I love circles. Spherical miracles. Most if not all of my images in the Sketchbook have some green in them somewhere, sure. But I always try to get something round in there somewhere! Is it because of that archetypal shape? Is it because it's one of the earliest geometrics and symbols recognized? Who knows and who cares! Remember those peas on that kid's plate? Good advice from Mom. Labels: Those Ferns Are For Jeanne. I really l...

My Crafty Life in a nutshell. By Kelly. Monday, October 8, 2012. Alright, I know, I know. It's been a while again. I DID start some projects, but couldn't get into the swing of it since I had my grandson here almost everyday. By August/September my daughter and her son moved out and in with her steady boyfriend- no worries, they are here everyday. I watch him while she goes to work. So, I'm taking Geology and Statistics. FUN! Ever wondered where our gem stones come from, or what they are even made of?

Creativity Unleashed: March 2010
http://kellymaloufsblog.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
My Crafty Life in a nutshell. By Kelly. Sunday, March 21, 2010. I Learned Something Fantastic in March! For March I was thinking again, with my craft side of the brain. What ended up happening was I learned how to give of my time in a more constructive way. Not like usual with people wanting or "needing" me to do something for them, but for a cause! Our event was last night and it ened up being a great success! I have no clue what I'm doing! The lessons learned this month were many. I learned that to...

My Crafty Life in a nutshell. By Kelly. Friday, May 28, 2010. Free Knit Shrug Pattern. This is the first time I've written a pattern for anyone else other than myself. It may make sense to me, and I sure hope it makes sense to you.If not let me know. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in black.7 oz skein, I believe. I used not even a whole skein ( about 2/3 of a skein at best guess). Size 10 1/2 needles. No guage was used. I left a 24" tail and cast on 70 sts. Rows 1-4 1x1 rib (k1, p1). Row 5 knit all. Let me...

My Crafty Life in a nutshell. By Kelly. Sunday, December 19, 2010. Three Months The Final 2010 Challenge. With the year winding to an end, I thought I'd finish up the 2010 challenge I made for myself - finally! In October, I learned the hard way (and quite quickly) that I should never feel comfortable with where I'm at with my schoolwork. It got a lot harder and I seemed to have gotten double the homework overnight. This, I was told, was what happens at midterms. I hadn't thought of that! Oh well, I trie...

kettwigefrau: July 2012

Ramblings of an expat in Germany. Sunday, July 15, 2012. Off to Spain tomorrow, let the packing commence. Friday, July 13, 2012. Today is Friday 13th, probably one of the most superstitious days in the year. I'm quite used to the English superstitions, having grown up with them (not that I adhere to them of course) but German ones? Now that's a whole new ball game, here's a few I bet you haven't heard of. Bury your (dead) dog under your doorstep, his ghost will guard your house. Spitting on each others l...
