Thursday, June 19, 2008. Today, I had a boy with me in my class. I got to lead the pony around with the little boy on the back on of the horse. I got to ride bareback on the pony and it wasn't listening very good. I tried to make it obey, but it wouldn't. So, the teacher helped me lead the horse. Thursday, June 12, 2008. What Happened Today at Horse Lessons. Today I got to work with a new horse named Shadow. Shadow is black and big and shiny. I learned how to lead a horse. You hold a bow-like hold and with your right hand you hold the rope and point your pointer fingers the way you want to go and look straight with your chin up a little. Saturday, June 7, 2008. My Favorite Horse Lesson. This horse is really white. Its name is Mighty. I will learn to take care of a horse with Mighty. I learned how to back away from a horse. When you back away from a horse, you put both hands or one hand and a brush on the horses side, then back away. You have to back away from a horse this way because the horse can kick.
