Urgent intervention strategy required for grade 8 learners. Grade 8 learners need intervention strategies to assist with the transition from grade 7 to grade 8. The focus of the strategies must priorities competency in mathematics and languages. A vast number of grade 8 learners arrive at High School and struggle from the outset. Poor academic performance in grade 8 has a significant impact on future performance. The reality is that learners need an intervention program that addresses a variety of issues.
