Saturday, April 21, 2012. Kite Festival and Big Rigs! Today we had a fun family day! One stop was the Flights of Fancy kite festival in Lee's Summit. There were tons of people there flying their own kites plus professional kite people with some HUGE kites, like 100 feet long! Sadly for them during the afternoon when we were there the wind decided to die down so they had a hard time getting the big kites up and flying. It was still a good time! Sunday, April 24, 2011. The hubby, Madeline, and I went to my parent's house for the weekend to see some family who came in from out of town. On the way there we stopped at Walmart and picked up these pretty tulips for my mom. At Grandma's house Madeline colored Easter eggs for the first time. She thought it was pretty cool. Thursday, August 23, 2012. This past weekend Madeline, Grandma Sharon, and I took a little trip to the Overland Park Arboretum. It really was the perfect day for an outing and the gardens were beautiful! I love Madeline's silly faces. Maddie loves taking photos of the flowers too! She took several with Grandma's camera. Friday, May 11, 2012. This past weekend we took Madeline to a special program at a local nature center that was themed "The Enchanted Forest". Little girls were encouraged to dress up in their fairy wings so we took Madeline's Tinker Bell wings down from the wall (we use them as a decoration since she never wanted to wear them) and strapped them on! Here's Maddie's finished product. Next they did a little story time from the queen fairy herself. The owl was really cool! A puppy of course! A Berry Fun Day!

Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Whatsapp for the N900 (and N9) - Yappari and Wazzap. The developers of whatsapp messenger. Announced a while ago that they will not be porting the whatsapp application to the Maemo5 and Harmattan platforms. Users on these platforms were a little upset until some people posted bits of information about how the protocol works (it's proprietary, not publicly documented) and after much discussion at TMO. After a false start at TMO. Worked on the N9 client. Link for the installer.
