Laquo; Rain sucks and only 10 more days left…. Posted October 12, 2011 by lori in Uncategorized. Leave a Comment. It is offical…I AM A MARATHONER! I ran 26.2 miles and finished with a smile on my face. I will admit I lost my steam around 21 miles and lost some time, but I manage to maintain my pace for the first half and the second half of the marathon…I am pleased that I was able to pace myself well and it felt great to finish! I am now signing up for another marathon! Here are some pic from the race!

Ran 8 miles today and LOVED it! I felt great, did great and I am so happy I have fallen back in love with running! I think my shin will give me issues from time to time, but so far so good! I have many, many miles to run until the marathon…this should be interesting! I am getting my kids to eat better and that is a plus!

They always say if you can have 2 great friends you are doing well…I am doing excellent then! A friend made me something and delivered it to me…. Like I said I have awesome friends! Notice the heart she had put on the foil. And this is what was inside! Yummy Banana Oat Bars! Best granola bars ever! They are the best and my friend is the best!

Well I have always ran. I love running and how it makes me feel. I use it as my escape from reality tool…. I didn’t start running races until 4 years ago. A friend asked me to run a 5K with her knowing I was using running as part of my exercise routine so I was ready and I said yes and have been hooked ever since. I have run a lot of 5K’s, which I really cannot remember all of them. My 5K times range from 22 minutes to 26 minutes, all depends on my training at the time. I ran many half marathons! Enter y...

Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Place Cards Holders, Escort Cards and Tissue Paper Madness. Tissue paper has taken over my sewing room in a really fun way. I've been crazy folding up paper pom poms that I saw in Martha Stewart weddings back in 2006 waaaaay before we even talked about getting married. But I knew then I had to have them at my wedding whenever that would be. My mom and Jon's mom have very generously volunteered to help with the unfolding process. I'm not sure they know what they're getting into.
