Sunday, July 12, 2015. Good friends, Penny and Sheila, are visiting us from Madison, WI. They are, in fact, spending part of their honeymoon with us, as they were able to get married soon after the Supreme Courts ruling a few weeks ago. They actually got married on the day of their 26th anniversary of being together! They arrived on Friday and we spent that afternoon/evening basically catching up, but yesterday, we drove into Traverse City for the annual Cherry Festival Parade! Daisy Hill Weaving Studio.

Raspberry time {with a recipe! We eat them immediately, we eat them in fruit salad, we eat them in pie. And as compote on french toast. We make honey jam (made with Pomona Pectin, my favorite) and we add more and more handfuls of berries to the bag in the freezer. And we eat them as popsicles. Raspberries pureed with grade B maple syrup and a squeeze of lemon, and swirled with heavy cream. You need to make these. Recipe adapted from. 1 pound (4 cups) fresh raspberries. Squeeze fresh lemon juice.
