Sep 03, 2014. 最近在 Ryu contribute 一些 patch. 特地寫這篇稍微介紹一下 Snort Integration，也順便分享一下在 Ryu 官方本身是不希望貢獻者使用 Pull Request 的情況下，到底要怎麼對 Ryu project 做出你的貢獻呢. 首先大概簡單帶過一下 Snort 到底在做什麼事情，然後再談怎麼拿他去跟 Ryu 做整合。 Snort 是一套開放源碼的入侵偵測系統 Intrusion Detection System 又稱作 IDS。 它能夠即時地監測網路上的封包，並透過 Snort Rule 比對攻擊模式，當發現疑似有網路攻擊的行為發生時，會發出警告的訊息 Alert message 通知網路管理者，攻擊者的 5-Tuple 與攻擊的手法，等等. 這其中的精神在 Snort Rule 它裡面描述著各種網路攻擊的形態，例如 DDoS, SQL injection 等等. NTT 未來網路研究所 SDN 研討會. Aug 11, 2014. 這次有幸參加 NTT 研究所 SDN 研討會，這場研討會是第一屆辦在台灣，直接聽 Ryu. 的主要開發者來介紹 Ryu 可以說是機會難得啊 總共有兩場一場在臺北的資策會，另一場則在新竹交大的浩然圖書館。 議程的內容分為上午場的 Lagopus/Ryu 介紹 及下午場的 Lagopus/Ryu 研習操作。 的介紹，這是一款專門為 OpenFlow 協定所造的 Virtual Switch 目前雖是 Alpha 版本，但對 OpenFlow 協定支援度是目前最高，更利用 Intel DPDK. Saving captured packets in Ryu controller. Jan 26, 2015. 最近花了點時間研究 PCAP 的檔案格式，試著把 PCAP 的 Parser 用 Python 寫出來，本來就只是單純練習而躍躍欲試後結果。 最終 lib 寫出來後就把這個 patch. 送給 Ryu team 高興的是對方很快地就接受，並且跟我說這是個好東西。 為什麼 patch 到 Ryu Controller? 原因是後來想到有時候在 SDN Controller 上要開發 SDN Apps 因為某些原因需要把 Packet-In 的封包輸出來看，但是在 Controller 上直接把封包的內容直接輸出，顯示就只會看到一堆16進位的數值，還需要再透過各種方法把每種封包格式還原，實在是太傷神了。 或許你可能會嘗試用 Wireshark 去抓封包來看，這是一個不錯的方法，但是我接下來想跟大家分享的是直接在 application 上直接呼叫 ryu.lib.pcaplib 來用可以更快的方法直接的把封包儲存下來看. 把 pcaplib import 近來.
