Little Home in the Woods

Little Home in the Woods. Tuesday, March 26, 2013. DIY menu board, labels, and a new stove! This is one of those fun and easy projects, that really is useful! I found a frame at a thrift shop, backed it with scrapbook supplies, and added clothes pins, and a little paper covered box. I laminated our basic meals so we can clip them on the desired day. The clothes pins are painted lightly, I also added a sticker to represent each day. I like this because even my younger kids can help plan meals. Brady's did...

Little Home in the Woods: Family Encouragement Weekend (FEW) 2013

http://littlehomeinthewoods.blogspot.com/2013/03/family-encouragement-weekend-few-2013.html

Little Home in the Woods. Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Family Encouragement Weekend (FEW) 2013. We spent last weekend at the FEW Conference in Marble, NC. Our family was blessed beyond measure. We appreciate all the effort that is out into this conference. Here are some of the families that host. We not only were blessed by the conference, but we enjoyed time as a family, too. We take our camper when we go somewhere like this. We usually stay a few extra days, and make it a mini vacation. Use what you have!

Little Home in the Woods: Precious Morning Gifts

http://littlehomeinthewoods.blogspot.com/2013/03/precious-morning-gifts.html

Little Home in the Woods. Monday, March 4, 2013. I wake up to the piano singing hymns, to the Glory of our Saviour, by the hand of my son. His fingers dance across the keys, bringing sweet praise into our home. I wake up to him kissing my face. Lips so soft, gentle scratches brush across my chin. I love it when he skips his morning shave for me. Whispered prayers escape his lips. Praise, help, gratitude. There's no making our way, no joy overflowing, without Him. Labels: Loving my Home. Use what you have!

Little Home In The Country

Little Home In The Country. Thursday, 20 October 2016. Needing to purchase a few things for the house (since moving in) instigated a bit of research on where to source what we need without:. A) breaking the budget. B) compromising values re: purchasing natural fibres/recycled material whenever possible. C) supporting local businesses/people. Three days ago, I purchased this NEW 100% wool 8'x10' area rug (still in the original manufacturer's wrapping) for $75.00. The original sticker price from th...Yeste...

Thursday, 22 September 2011.

Homemade Happy

Friday, November 16, 2012. Last weekend our local Steiner School celebrated its annual Spring Fair. This was the third year that I have been asked if I would like to share a table with some VERY talented friends in the gallery space. My contribution was smaller than I might have liked but I have been kind of busy this year with my little ones! I also made some folded star lanterns and two felted toadstool houses with playmats. H and Dadda made a wreath for her to wear. A taking it all in. Cut an elongate...

Thursday, February 26, 2015. Bon's Book Club - My Story by Elizabeth Smart. So this month's book was My Story by Elizabeth Smart. Now I will admit, reading this seemed like it would be.less than delightful, given the topic at hand. And to be honest? It obviously wasn't one of those books you supremely enjoy reading. Mostly because, at heart, it is about a young girl who got kidnapped and repeatedly brutalized. I highly doubt there are many of us out there that would enjoy such a tale. Maybe it was just b...
