Wednesday, January 24, 2007. Still not much to report. The walk to work today made me CRAZY because I didn't have my camera, and I saw great photos all over the place. Maybe I will start bringing my camera as a default; of course, taking photos will make my walks to work take longer, which means I should leave earlier, which means I should get up earlier. I have so many ideas: I am frustrated by my lack of time and discipline. Of course, I could just BE MORE DISCIPLINED ALREADY. sigh*. New business well,...

Friday, November 24, 2006. I am excited to announce that my dear friend Allison Guy. Not only knows how to darn socks, but that she agreed to darn my holey socks for me. Today I got this package of fixed-up handknits (that I almost forgot I owned) in the mail. Thank you Allison! I am happily wearing the pink/purple/green pair (centre-right) as I type. PS: Allison is off to England tomorrow on business happy travelling! Send me a postcard! Posted by sue at 11:48. Thursday, November 23, 2006. Last weekend ...

Tuesday, September 12, 2006. Update: there is no update. I have absolutely zero progress to report on any crafting front at all. I am still working on Sock 2 (3-1/2 inches until the toe! I am still making Dishcloths (but I left my knitting needles in Ottawa; they might be in Toronto by now but still are not at my house), and I haven't sewn anything in I don't know how long (there goes finishing the Blue Quilt by end of summer). Martha G). Wonderful. Posted by sue at 11:18. Monday, September 04, 2006.

Thursday, March 29, 2007. Tiny (and unexpected) movements on the red quilt. The squares in the upper left (not sewn together yet; I'm still planning) are the ones I bought at Melanie's Closet last Wednesday. And, Eric and I went to IKEA last week and bought, among other things, a new doormat. Green dot! Posted by sue at 00:26. Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Despite my long absence. This post will be brief. I should stop putting dates in titles. PS The photos are from my walk today (it's Day 5! Joined their k...

Tuesday, April 24, 2007. This past weekend, I drove to Boston with Barry and Eric. Well, I didn't drive; Eric did. We stayed with Eric's Grandma, and visited Naomi (in blue), who is now Dr. Naomi. I enjoyed myself thoroughly. You can see way too many photos from this trip (when all I do for 20 hours is sit in a car, I take photos to kill time) over here. From a making-things perspective, it was a very productive trip: I am FINALLY done my sister's second sock! Maybe I'll buy some new yarn. Ok I don't nor...

Tuesday, February 27, 2007. S blog and LL's camera my (and clearly LL's) favourite mannequin and her uppity friend. Near Bloor and Markham. Posted by sue at 14:42. Friday, February 23, 2007. Junko Maeda ISBN: 4766000617. Originally uploaded by movinghands. Blow my mind every time. This image is from, I think, a Japanese craft magazine. The quilt looks tiny, and check out the design! Some pinwheels (triangles), some plain squares, and great use of colour. Hurry up, March. I want more time to make stuff.

Wednesday, August 16, 2006. Blue quilt: a short update. I have finally added a row to the bottom of the blue quilt:. One more row on the bottom and one more row going down the left side, plus border, and the quilt top will be FINISHED. Exciting. Soon ("soon" is a relative term; "sometime in the next two months" might be more accurate) I'm going to buy some navy cotton; a lot of the dark blue in this quilt is rayon and so is stretching like mad. Time for a quilt store field trip. Posted by sue at 14:33.

Monday, December 25, 2006. Posted by sue at 22:55. Thursday, December 21, 2006. Since these days before Christmas have been so busy, I have given up getting to work on time. Instead, the past couple of days (which have been so sunny and beautiful; I love the light this time of year, it's so low and slanty) I've taken my camera on my walk to work. Check out some pics on flickr. Another update: I got a very cool thing. Intruded on the photo, however, so you'll have to click on the link to see what it is.
