Looking to the Harvest. Breaking down the high places. June 21, 2016. As I pressed on throughout the books of Kings, I found myself in 2 Kings. Throughout the rich and complex history of kings whose names I cannot pronounce, and I admit- I struggle to keep straight, I also found such rich warnings as I looked at how their stories played out. Maybe to not stir up any issues? Maybe because their hearts were not wholly devout to God? Regardless- they were not destroyed, they were overlooked and allowed.

Looking to the Harvest. Don’t waste this view. May 12, 2016. Pretty much every evening when I step out the front door, or even glance from our windows, I get to be met with this view:. I get to see these massive sunsets that stretch clear and unobstructed from buildings and houses. It’s not unusual for our friends when they come to visit to comment on the gorgeous horizon we get to see every evening, and I cannot lie- four years later in this house, and I can’t get over it either. My heart cried out to me.
